This song, “You Are Mine,” I have dedicated to my dear friend and producer, Sherrie Brewster. It first started as a poem I wrote for her as a message from God at a moment when her pain from betrayal and broken relationship. I felt as I wrote it that God would use it to help her through the trying days, weeks and months ahead… and it has. I also believe it will touch the lives of so many who are, have or will face difficult times in their lives. God is speaking directly to you today, “You Are Mine,” and I love you. His promise to us is, He will never leave us, never forsake us, and will be with us to the end. Hebrews 13:5 He always keeps His promises.

My Mama’s Letter

This song came about by a book sent to me from Teresa Kemp. It was her life story unfolding on the pages. In one of the chapters was a letter her mother wrote to her just before she left for her forever home with Jesus. Teresa was in prison and didn’t get the letter until after she was released. Having been sexually molested by a neighborhood boy at an early age changed everything about her and her future. It was a downward spiral… until she met Jesus in prison. Her life has completely changed. She now is the President and Founder of Breaking Chains International. A life that has experienced complete redemption by the grace and mercy of God. Teresa has shared her testimony on stage with Joyce Meyer and other TV media. To God be all the glory and honor.

I tried to stay as close to the letter as possible. May it bless every ear it falls on and help bring healing to all who have suffered at the hands of an abuser.
