Jenny Dean:
Finding Her Voice With Grace Records Nashville LLC

By: Chloie Wright

For Jenny Dean, music has never been just a sound—it’s been a calling. From her earliest memory singing in a kindergarten duo on a high school stage in Mooresville, North Carolina, Jenny has felt music in her bones. “The other girl froze,” she recalls, “and me, I sang like no one was watching.” That fearless spirit continues to define her journey today as she steps into the spotlight as the newest artist signed to Grace Records Nashville LLC.

The youngest of four children, Jenny grew up in what was once a small, close-knit Southern town. With two older brothers and a sister, her personality had room to grow big—goofy, spunky, outgoing, and deeply compassionate. Though her musical path paused after junior high choir, it reignited later in life through church performances and quiet journaling sessions that blossomed into songwriting.

“I’ve always been independent and ambitious,” she shares. “Sometimes hardheaded and stubborn too,” she adds with a laugh. But beneath the bold confidence is a heart of service. For years, Jenny has dedicated her career to helping others, offering comfort, resources, and care. Her love for people is matched only by her loyalty. “I’ve never met a stranger,” she says. “And I can’t stand a liar, cheater, or a thief.”

Yet even with a full life and a fulfilling career, music continued to knock at Jenny’s door. It was in her quiet moments—often while praying and journaling—that the real songwriting began. “Writing became my peace. My words would flow out like a river, puddling onto the page,” she says. Her first single, Why Me, was born from a place of emotional vulnerability. “I was feeling worthless, and I turned to God’s word. That’s when everything shifted, I knew He was with me and always would be.”

Encouraged by a close friend to sing solo at church, Jenny found her voice again. “I held the microphone and found my passion and purpose,” she says. And with support from those closest to her—her daughter Alyah, her brothers Jimmy and Johnny, her sister-in-law Vicki, and a loving circle of friends—she took the leap. With a message from her longtime friend Rocky at Unmarked Road Studio, Jenny walked into her first recording session, surrounded by positivity and belief.

“My brother Jimmy has always been my biggest fan,” she says with heartfelt emotion. “After nearly losing him to a tragic, senseless attack, our bond is even stronger. He told me, ‘This is going to be your year, baby girl.’ That’s all I needed.”

Now with Grace Records Nashville by her side, Jenny Dean is ready to share her music with the
world. Her sound defies a single genre—she draws from pop, oldies, rock, country, contemporary Christian, and southern gospel. “Music reflects my mood,” she explains, “and it can take me back to some of the most important moments of my life.”

As a songwriter and performer, Jenny hopes to touch hearts and tell stories that resonate across generations and backgrounds. “I want my music to inspire people,” she says. “Whether it’s my voice or someone else singing my words, I just want to reach people.”

Jenny Dean’s story is one of strength, grace, and unwavering faith. With her pen in hand, her voice lifted high, and her heart wide open, she’s ready to shine. And if her journey so far is any indication, this truly is her year."
