Why Kaitlan Chose This Song

As a small child, Kaitlan Monk remembers going with her daddy, a pastor, to sing when he preached.  She really cannot remember a time when she was not singing somewhere in church.  Though she is young, her years of experience shine through in her voice.  

When Kaitlan's daddy passed away almost four years ago, he had told her when he went to Heaven, he would spend his first thousand years at his Savior's feet.  Hearing the song reminded her that her daddy is doing that right now.
Mitch Townley, one of the writers, shared with her that when he wrote the song, he thought of the shadow of the cross falling over him when he was looking at the Savior's feet.  Immediately, Kaitlan connected with the song and knew she had to record it.  She shared what a blessing it is to be able to lay her burdens at the Savior's feet.
