About Ken Franz

Ken Franz has been making music for more than 40 years, eventually finding his musical home in country after being influenced by acoustic artists such as Dan Fogelberg, Jim Croce and John Denver. As lead singer and rhythm guitarist for two of Milwaukee’s premier country bands, Ken shared the stage with more than 70 national acts, including The Oak Ridge Boys, Travis Tritt, Little Texas and Joe Diffie. He later moved to Nashville to develop his songwriting before returning to Milwaukee, where he performed as a solo artist and released two independent albums. His song “Take Me Back to Texas” received overseas airplay and was featured by Fox Sports in a NASCAR promotion.

After health issues forced Ken away from performing, his musical journey took a new direction in 2020. When he discovered he had lost his singing voice, Ken prayed and promised God that if his voice were restored, he would dedicate his music to glorifying Him. Two weeks later, Ken says his voice returned, and within 10 days he had written six Christian songs. Today, his music ministry is built around songs inspired by real-life experiences, faith and the ways God has carried him through life, with the goal of blessing listeners while giving glory to God.
