The fertile farmlands of Tallulah, Louisiana, provided Paul Eric Puckett aka "Ricky Paul" with a lifelong affection for nature's beauty, and the love of God. He is the son and eleventh of seventeen siblings of Wilbert and Florence Puckett. Between the early days of singing in the fields, at school events, and at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, his anointing set his path for Spiritual Growth and a personal mission to spread God's word. He has been working hard in his music ministry for thirty plus years and counting. Today, God's anointing has gifted him not only as a Vocal Recording Artist, but also as a United States Army Veteran, Songwriter, Playwright, Poet, Executive Producer, Actor, Author, Trendsetter, and Philanthropist. Ricky Paul is a Christian TV host (5-years and going) for Around God's Throne on All Nations TV Network. His literary contribution to Christian ministry, titled Collection of Songs Inspired by God, was released December 2020. 

The King of soulful country gospel music and an International Indie Gospel Artist Ricky Paul, his passion for ministry shows itself as he shares the Word of God, prays, and sings praises to God with the residents and staff of several nursing homes in his hometown, throughout Hill County and surrounding counties. He loves to worship God in song because God has truly blessed him as he celebrates 14-years as a post-liver transplant and cancer survivor. He cannot help but share his awesome testimony wherever he goes. 

He has won numerous awards and received several recognitions, just to mention a few accolades at the 2025 Prayze Factor Awards, Season #18, Morrow, GA. It was an amazing and exciting award-winning weekend.   

1] Because he faithfully continues to work diligently and invest in his ministry he received a Silver Honoree award on Friday, September 19, 2025, from WPGN Radio Atlanta, GA, SILVER Honoree 2024-2025, Ricky Paul made history by being the first recipient to receive this recognition. SHOUT-OUT to WPGN Radio Atlanta, Pastor, Dr. Teresa Jordan, Prayze Factor Awards Board & staff for playing and charting the song, "I'm Gonna Say Thank You Lord" KUDOS also to our Family, Friends, and Fans for requesting the song. This song is on the winning Album of the Year 2025.     

2] His steadfastness empowers him to continue to work his craft and his ministry, Ricky Paul received an award Saturday, September 20, 2025, Album of the year titled "Just a Country Boy" at Prayze Factor Awards Season #18, Morrow, GA. He also ministered on the main stage in a song titled, "Mamma Knew How to Pray" on the winning Album of the Year 2025.

"Just A Country Boy" won Album of the Year in Season #15 of the Prayze Factor Awards. 

 

3] Ricky Paul, "The Country Boy and King of Soulful Country Gospel Music" was also featured on the front cover of the 2025 Prayze Factor Awards, Season 18, souvenir book. 

4] He had several opportunities to perform at the events during Season #18, and the attendees enjoyed his Soulful Country Gospel Music, they purchased his projects, saying, I can't leave here without a copy of this inspiring and uplifting music.
