Overmuch Sorrow is a CCM side project created by singer-songwriter Jason Cole. All songs are written, composed, and performed by Jason Cole.

Jason Cole was born and raised in the great state of Alabama. He began writing lyrics in his early teens, and learned to play guitar in his early 20's. Finally armed with the ability to transform lyric and melody into original song, he has gone on to write dozens of tunes over the years. Jason's music has been featured on several radio stations around the world including Gateway 97.8 FM in South Essex, England. Jason even scored a #1 hit on the coveted HUGS Radio Top 200 Unsigned Artists Music Chart recently with his song "Squared Up, Headlong, And Gettin' Gone". The song held on to the top spot for two straight weeks during the month of January, 2024. Having also received multiple licensing and/or publishing deals for many of his original songs, Jason continues to write and record music, and is a current active member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) and the ISSA (International Singer Songwriters Association). He recently won the award for ISSA Male Songwriter Of The Year at the 2024 ISSA Awards in Atlanta, Georgia.
