THE MIRACLES
The Miracles were originally a trio comprised of Paul and Rose Singleton and Rose’s sister, Bobbie in the early 1970’s. Kent originally joined the group in 1974 as a 13-year old piano player and stayed with the group for seven years, singing and playing the piano in local churches.
Two years ago, Kent and his dad visited Rose and her daughter’s church. After decades of having not seen them, they chimed in on a couple of songs that they had sung in the 70’s. It was like they had never skipped a beat. A couple of weeks later, they sang the same two songs at a tent revival in Archdale, NC.
Rose said that night, “I want to sing with Brother Cooley.” Kent jokingly said, “Rose didn’t say she wanted to sing with me. She wants to sing with my dad!”
The next day, Kent called Rose and Ann and asked them to pray about the possibility of launching "The Reunion Tour." They said they were too busy, but Kent suggested they do one booking a month. Of course, this was an obvious ‘bait and switch’ because that would still involve a weekly practice. As it turns out, they now would sing every weekend if they had the opportunity.
The current group, The Miracles, is comprised of Kent Cooley and his dad, Dan Cooley, and Rose Moody and her daughter, Ann Luther. So this a father-son and mother-daughter team.
Our mission statement is, “Less about us and more about the Lord and the Word of God. The anointing is of highest importance and quality is secondary. The anointing is the key to winning souls because the anointing destroys the yoke. (Isaiah 10:27)
